Mother India by her Unsung Heroes (1)
Chapter 1. My India, My Pride
The journey endeavoured by our
beloved golden sparrow is an adventure that will give you chills down your
spine. A road with a million knocks and crooks has helped shape India into what
it is today. An adventure, a story, a journey embarking on to sculpt mother
India and impact the lives of millions of its citizens. This ride is like
nothing you have ever experienced before, a roller coaster down the steepest
cliff, showcasing countless acts of valour, bravery, heroism, festivities,
elections and their massive campaigns, multiple riots, rallies, and a lot more.
India, a land ranging from the snowy
Himalayas in the north to the calm backwaters in the south, the mighty Sahyadri
in the west to the lush green forests of the east, is not just a country but a
manifestation of its varied cultures, castes and creeds. A nation where more
than nineteen thousand languages coexist in peace and harmony. A place where
tradition meets modernization, culture meets contemporary, religion meets
reality. The land of gods, whose divine vision enlightens our homes and hearts.
A land of mathematicians, scientists whose hard work and dedication have helped
India advance on the scientific front. The land of arts and crafts that never
fails to amuse and entertain its citizens. The land of brave hearts who without
any hesitation lay down their lives so that their beloved mother India can live
in peace. A land of law and order, who follows and preaches the rules of
non-violence, friendship and peace. The land of festivities and colours that
blend together perfectly to spread joy, brotherhood and unity. A land where
people never seem to give up. A land with more than 1,00,000 years of rich-rich
history. A site we all lovingly and proudly call home!
India was not always the country you
see it as today. There were many hardships, many wars, many rebellions before
India could be called as one and its people a sovereign, socialist, secular and
democratic republic. Let us step forth and embark on a journey to see the
building of Mother India, block-by-block by her heroes, some famously known and
worshiped; and some who are hidden in the pages of history, waiting to be
uncovered.
