The Magic of Theme Parks

Image
Theme parks have always been more than just a fun escape for me, they're a complete sensory experience. From the tingle of anticipation before a roller coaster launch to the rush of wind on my face, even the long queues become part of the adventure. As a thrill-seeker, amusement parks have long been my favorite destinations for excitement and joy. This summer, I had an outstanding time visiting Universal’s Islands of Adventure, the newly opened Epic Universe, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom in Florida. It was the highlight of my summer, and I came away with no regrets. As a game developer, I appreciate the distinction between amusement parks and theme parks, and I deeply connect with the creativity and immersive design behind these attractions. They reflect the very vision I strive to bring into my own work. If you want the adventure and electrifying sensation of rides, amusement parks are your thing, but, if you want to be transported into a different universe, you want to feel magica...

Return of the Jungle

Animation, a filmmaking technique in which still images are manipulated to create moving images, is more than just this. It is a form of expression and a way to communicate emotions and stories. It is beyond this; it is an artistic marvel. I am awed by the many ways artists create such wonderful creations. Animation is still perceived as cartoonish and to be viewed by children; however, there is more depth to these movies. They are to be viewed, enjoyed and loved by people of all ages. It is not just about the cartoony way the character moves on screen; it is about capturing its expressions and the way it communicates its emotions, despite being a lifeless 3D model. It is to embrace the life instilled into the character by the hardworking artists who spend countless days and nights bringing their creations to the screen to be cherished. Animated movies, like all others, hold a lot of meaning and hidden values. I have always loved and admired animated movies, and I am moved by the...

Who moved my Cheese?

C hange, the only constant in our equation of life. An inevitable force that will occur in our lives sooner or later and the faster we accept this truth the easier it becomes to get along with it. Nevertheless, it is not the change that changes our lives, i t is the way in which we cope with it that does. Tackling the consequences and shortcomings of that change with an open mind and embracing it with a smile is what earns us a new medal towards our goal of achieving a happy and fruitful life.  We are surrounded with an enormous amount of knowledge on how we should live our lives, what should we do to stay happy, how should we face challenges and deal with their outcomes, etc, and yet we still seem to curl ourselves up in our memories and in the process, we forget to make amendments in our present so that our future self will have something new, something adventurous to synonymise ourselves with. We have to let go of our past and move on, that is the only way forward. Books are one...

Art makes the world a better place

A rt helps us identify each other and expand our notion of we – from the local to the global. A three-lettered word that suffices unique ways to express one’s self. Imagine a black and white world; a world without colors, without imagination, without creativity is like a body without a soul. Art is the spark of life that pours happiness and joy in the otherwise obscure orb. Its curiosity and creativity that brings changes to this world. Since the beginning of time art has helped unite communities towards appreciating the serene beauty of the surroundings we have built for ourselves. The arts and culture represent one of the few areas in our society where people can come together to share an experience even if they see the world in radically different ways. All of its diverse branches be it dance, music, motion pictures or even a small illustration each have immense potential towards building a peaceful and inspired nation. It is fascinating to see how colors can turn the canvas of our ...

Mother India By her Unsung Heroes (4)

Chapter 4. Takeaways R eading the amazing stories of these lionhearts is breath-taking and sure shot motivating. However, this motivation should not be short timed, it should act as the igniting force to get up from that seat and achieve something remarkable. These inspirations should help us crave a path for that long lost dream and bring it to reality. If it is one thing that we have learnt from the lives of these heroes is that, giving up, caving in to insults, failures are never the answer to any accomplishment. One setback does not define you; one setback should not deter you from your ladder to success. Yes, history does capture only failures nonetheless it also captures your victory doubling the glorification if you get back up stronger from them failures. If our armed forces had given up at the time of the war, many states would have been removed from the map of India. If the scientist conducting the nuclear test at Pokhran after one failure, India would not have been a nuclear...

Mother India by her Unsung Heroes (3)

Chapter 3.  Warriors of Today M ore than 70 years later, the legacies of the Partition remain clear in the subcontinent: in its new political formations and in the memories of divided families, and the stories of its unhonoured heroes. The years past independence have not been easy for us, the British fled India in hast leaving behind them their theory of divide and conquer, and the effects of their mental torture over the past 200 long years. These repercussions were easily visible throughout India, multiple uprisings, revolts were shattering the vision of the newly formed one India. People were divided and misguided, the many different states wanted their own independence. Democracy came to us as our saviour. It found a way to resolve everyone’s issues in an orderly fashion. India is the most populous democracy in the world. The credit for this big title goes to the election commission of India and their resolution of conducting a fair election to everyone. Their commitment of ma...

Mother India by her Unsung Heroes (2)

Chapter 2.  Lost in History O ur journey begins from a long-long time ago, an era that marked the start of a glorious civilization the Harappan civilization merging into the well know Indus valley civilization. The time when the mysterious Aryan race travelled and settled in the pre historic India. The Indus civilization and its phenomenal architecture and city planning are topics of great awe even to the present day. The already blooming Indus civilization was given a boost from the arrival of the Aryans. Along with them they brought horses and other livelihood resources namely iron and its tools – helping ease the daily chores, their religion and beliefs. People in that era found a common ground to communicate and discuss their ideas for the greater good through the mother of all languages – Sanskrit. Sanskrit formed the basis of word flow from one group to another, form one generation to the next. Following the rules of planning, implementation and communication, it was not long...
